Booking & Payment A booking deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. If you have to cancel, a refund will only be provided if we are able to rent out the cancelled week to another family.
Damage & Cleaning Deposit -a $250 deposit (up to 6 people) is due with the rent balance 14 days prior to arrival. If more than 6 people are staying at the lodge, please add $25/person to this deposit. As long as the cottage is left as you found it, this will be refunded within 14 days of your departure. Light cleaning is required prior to departure.
Arrival 3-10 p.m. Departure by 12:00 p.m.
Maximum Occupancy The lodge can accommodate only the number of guests indicated by the number of beds (3 BR = 6; 4 BR = 11). This is based on the capacity of the water & septic system, and to maintain good condition of the cottage. A baby is counted as one person. If the layout of the bedrooms does not suit your needs, we can add a fold-out mattress to the bedrooms, children's camping cots, or a portable crib. Overflow sleeping is sometimes available in a bunkie and our Trillium trailer (no running water or cooking facilities). Please contact us to inquire about alternatives to meet your family's needs. *NO PETS* Linens Blankets & pillows provided. You are required to bring your own queen sized sheets and pillow cases for every bed, We will provide fitted sheets (only) for the single bunks in the Meadowview room. Beds are not to be used without a fitted sheet; nor pillows without a pillow case (ie. just bringing a sleeping bag is not adequate). Please bring your own towels. Kitchen tea towels are provided. Linens can be rented for $10/bed.
Cleaning & Garbage You are responsible to leave the lodge as you found it. Environmentally friendly cleaning supplies are provided in each bathroom and in the main living area and kitchen. We will sanitize surfaces and floors after you depart. Please take your garbage & recycling with you (there is no garbage pick up in our township). There is a compost on site.
Equipment provided Waterfront - non motorized vessels (e.g. canoe, paddleboat, inner tubes) with paddles & lifejackets for use on site (We have lifejackets for most sized children but please confirm if you are not bringing your own.) Volleyball court Campfire - wood is provided. Please do NOT bring your own (risk importing pests). Township fire rating must be checked daily before making a campfire. Bedrooms - each bedroom has an electric or propane fireplace, ceiling fan, floor fan, and en suite bathroom with shower. (Only the Meadowview room has a bathtub.) Drinking water - our lodge is supplied by a deep well with safe, delicious water. It is tested regularly and treated for minerals. It may have a slight orange tint due to high iron content. Kitchen - regular sized fridge, stove with convection oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker & coffee press, electric kettle - numerous small appliances (toaster, mixer, slow cooker, bread maker, air popcorn maker) - partial use of a chest freezer - dishes, cutlery, baking/cooking pots, pans & bowls - BBQ; campfire also has a large grill that can be placed over the fire Wifi/cable/TV is NOT available to guests. If you are visiting from outside North America, please inquire directly about options. Living room - Foosball; piano & guitar; numerous games, puzzles, books for all ages Hot tub (cooler months only)
Insurance Waiver - Each person 18 y.o. or older must sign the liability waiver upon arrival. Parents sign for underage children.
No smoking or vaping in the buildings or anywhere on the property.
Owners live on site. Due to the nature of the building, with certain vital systems servicing both units, the owners reserve the right to enter the rental space to look after these systems (water, septic, electrical, smoke alarms, etc.) whenever needed,. We give high priority to the privacy of our renters during their stay at Kingfisher Crossing and do our best to avoid entering your space while also needing to ensure your safety and comfort.
