Kingfisher Crossing is a quiet place away from hectic traffic and busyness, nestled beside a small lake in pristine nature. Beautifully secluded, it's the only cottage on this lake, set on 55 forested acres. Sit on the dock and read a book, go for walks on miles of trails, roast marshmallows at the camp fire, canoe on the lake, fish, swim, or just lie in a hammock and have a snooze.
Each of the bedrooms has a queen bed and en suite bathroom, fireplace sitting area, and walk-out to a deck. The Studio, located on the upper level, is the most private bedroom with a private deck overlooking the lake. It boasts a propane fireplace with custom mantle made from trees and rocks on our property. The window provides a view of the sunset over the river. From its sliding door to the deck, the Riverview bedroom has a spectacular view of the river with romantic sunsets. Live-edge decor for the fireplace mantel and bathroom vanity match the rustic feeling of the pine bed. The Lakeview bedroom also has unique live-edge finishes. This bedroom slider walks out to a lovely screened Muskoka room and deck overlooking the lake.
The guest house is located less than 30 minutes north of Parry Sound. Guests can take in entertainment at the Stockey Center or a concert at Festival of the Sound, and return to the tranquility of this retreat. At the town docks, the 30000 Island Cruise awaits you on the Island Queen with stunning views of Georgian Bay. Killbear Provincial Park is just 10 minutes away with spectacular beaches, jumping cliffs, and well developed nature trails. There are boat launches on Georgian Bay at Killbear or at the Dillon marina just a 10 minute drive from Kingfisher Crossing.
